Sitiya Musaharni

Sitiya Musaharni cover

Sitiya Musaharni, a resident of Sunsari District of Nepal, belonging to a marginalized community was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. Owing to severe financial hardship, she was unable to access timely medical treatment, causing her condition to deteriorate significantly. By the time assistance reached her, the disease had progressed to the extent that it had created a large open wound, leaving her in immense physical pain and distress.

Recognizing the urgency of her condition,

Anuprastha Foundation launched a social media fundraising campaign to mobilize support for her treatment. With the generous contributions of donors, she was able to begin her first phase of treatment. We are also deeply grateful to Dr. Nirajan Prasai, CEO of Purbanchal Cancer Hospital, whose compassionate support helped make her treatment possible.

Sitiya is currently undergoing treatment in Patna, and according to her family, her condition has been improving. The collective efforts of donors, healthcare professionals, and well-wishers gave her a chance to begin the treatment she had long been unable to afford. Her journey stands as a powerful reminder of how timely medical care and community compassion can restore hope to those facing life-threatening illnesses.
