At just six years of age, Rigzin Dechhen Chhoeling, a young monk from Nuwakot, suffered a devastating accident after slipping in a bathroom, causing a severe head injury and significant trauma to his brain. The incident required immediate medical attention and marked the beginning of a long and difficult recovery.
The severity of the injury resulted in neurological complications that demanded prolonged hospitalization, specialized treatment, regular medical follow-ups, and extensive rehabilitation. Despite receiving medical care, Rigzin's recovery remained limited, and the lasting effects of the brain injury continue to affect his physical and cognitive abilities.
Recognizing the urgent medical and financial needs of the case, Anuprastha Foundation initiated a fundraising campaign to support Rigzin's treatment and rehabilitation. The funds raised helped cover essential medical expenses, including hospitalization, medications, investigations, and rehabilitative care during the critical stages of his recovery.
Rigzin continues to live as a monk in his monastery, where he remains under care and continues his daily life.
