Case Report: Late Ashirbaad Karki
Late Ashirbaad Karki was diagnosed with blood cancer and underwent treatment at the Blood Hospital. During his treatment, he was readmitted for his third cycle, third dose of chemotherapy. Due to his family's challenging financial circumstances, continuing treatment became a significant burden.
Anuprastha Foundation supported his case by mobilizing financial assistance through social media fundraising campaigns and fundraising concerts, encouraging individuals and well-wishers to contribute toward his treatment expenses. Although the Foundation was unable to raise sufficient funds to cover the entire cost of his care, every contribution helped ensure that his treatment could continue.
Recognizing the urgency of his condition, the Blood Hospital generously allowed his treatment to proceed on credit without interruption while payments remained pending. Despite the collective efforts of the hospital, donors, volunteers, and Anuprastha Foundation, Ashirbaad sadly passed away.
His journey serves as a reminder of the financial hardships faced by families battling life-threatening illnesses and underscores the importance of continued community support to ensure that no patient is denied timely treatment due to financial constraints.
